It is sometimes an hourly occurrence that I lose things. I don’t mean to, it just happens. More often than not my mind is on ten different things and I do not stop to THINK about something before I do it. Then, when it is time to remember I have not made a conscious connection with it so I can’t remember.
It is easy to forget things.
Where we place things . . .
Where we are supposed to be at given times . . .
How much we are loved by others . . .
How much we are loved by God . . .
How big and vast God’s love it . . .
There’s a really powerful part in this scripture verse that if we aren’t careful it is easy to look over . . . it comes in the word “wait.” Isaiah 48:10 reads “but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
The word wait . . . it can be translated to also convey meaning of “hope” and “look for.” So it isn’t like we just have to sit around like lame ducks and just accept that something might come our way. Instead, we can HOPE and LOOK FOR IT!
You know what happens when we LOOK for things? We find them. Regardless of what item I’ve lost . . . at some point it has been found, even if it was one of my many debit cards lost at gas stations across the country.  Sometimes others have found those for me! (What nice folks!)
But we don’t have to wait on others to find God’s love for us.
God’s love is there for us. We LOOK FOR it. We find it. It gives us strength. And we can run and not grow weary and walk and not grow faint!
