Some friendships fade. Others fracture. But the ones that stay—the ones that find you and love you for just being you —those are sacred.
And – what are they founded on?
Being fully, honestly, unapologetically you. That’s how they recognize you.

This reminds me of that moment between Mary and Elizabeth in Luke 1. It’s subtle, but powerful. Mary walks in, pregnant, unsure, carrying a miracle no one fully understands. She hasn’t even said much—just a greeting—and something deep inside Elizabeth leaps.
It’s the moment two women, carrying things bigger than themselves, recognize each other.
There were no fireworks in the sky. No small talk. No competition. Just instant recognition. Spirit meeting spirit. Truth meeting truth.
That’s what it feels like when the right people find you.
And here’s the thing: you can’t attract that kind of connection if you’re still shape-shifting to keep everyone else comfortable.

We do it without even realizing:

We downplay our passions so we don’t seem “too much.”
We hold back our boundaries so we don’t seem “cold.”
We pretend we’re okay when we’re not—because we’re afraid our honesty might be too heavy for someone to carry.
But when you stop doing that—when you show up as your actual self—you may lose a few people. You may disappoint a few expectations. But you’ll gain something far better: peace. And people who can meet you there.

Not everyone is your people. And that’s okay.
You don’t need to prove your worth to be loved.
The right people?
They don’t flinch at your truth.
They don’t ghost you when life gets messy.
They don’t make you feel like too much—or not enough.
They see you.
They get you.
They stay.

So maybe today is about giving yourself permission to let go of trying so hard—and trusting that when you show up fully, your people will show up too.

Grace and Peace,
Andrea
